Title I Schoolwide

Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) is the largest federally-funded program for elementary, middle, and high schools. Money is allocated to school districts based on the number of low-income families in each district. Each district uses Title I money to provide services for children most in need of educational help, conduct parental involvement activities, purchase supplemental programs and supplies, and to recruit/retain Highly Qualified teachers.

Irwin County Middle School is a schoolwide Title I school and receives additional federal funding to support instruction. Schoolwide means that all students in the school are served by the Title I Program.

The Irwin County School System is engaged in continuous school improvement as part of our responsibility with Title I funding. Use the links below to view the documents related to these improvement plans.
